Covid 19 Updates:

Latest Update November 4, 2020

Safety is at the forefront of every decision being made by the leadership of the Tate
County School District.  As a precautionary measure, we have activated the hybrid
model for Independence High School (Hybrid activated on 11/4), Strayhorn Elementary
School (At Home/Virtual Learning on 11/5 and Hybrid activated on 11/9), and Strayhorn
High School (At Home/Virtual Learning on 11/5 and Hybrid activated on 11/9).  We have
had positive cases at the above locations. Contract tracing has been conducted and all
persons in close contact (someone within 6 feet of an infected person for 15 minutes or
more) with this person will be notified.  Close contacts will be quarantined for 14 days
from last known contact.  While quarantining, the students may not attend school or any
school activities   This decision was a very difficult one. We do understand the hardship
it may cause but safety is the driving force. The quarantined students affected will
receive notification through School Status. More information concerning the hybrid
model will be sent from the school level.
