Miss White is a third generation Mississippi educator.  She graduated from Olive Branch High School and received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Mississippi State University in 1983.  She began her teaching career at Southaven High School as a special education teacher and J.V. cheerleader sponsor.  She continued her career with Tate County Schools as a special education teacher, cheerleader sponsor, L.S.C. /Dept. chairperson.  She received her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi in 2005 and served as assistant principal at Independence High School, principal of Independence Middle School and RtI/TST district program coordinator for Tate County Schools.   She returned to DeSoto County Schools in 2011 as a special education teacher and L.S.C. at Olive Branch Middle School. 

Miss White is a member of the Alpha Delta chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International and is currently serving as the District 5 representative on the Tate County School Board.  She is a member of Cockrum United Methodist Church.

She also owns and operates Harris Farms, a Mississippi Centennial Farm, in Tate County and enjoys event planning, catering and tractors.
