Hey there, I'm Ms. Ashmore! I'm from Grenada, MS where I was born and raised. I graduated high school from Grenada School District in 2011. I continued on to college at Holmes CC before attending The University of Mississippi. I graduated from UM in 2017! I student taught 4th grade during my senior year of college at Grenada School District where I would continue on to teach 5th and 6th grades.
I have taught multiple grades throughout my years substitute teaching, observing, and student teaching. Although I have taught many different grades from Pre-K-6th, one thing always stays the same and that is my passion for teaching. I absolutely love being in the classroom daily to help with each of my student's individual needs as well as helping them learn to work together collaboratively as a whole. I have always had a positive growth mindset and I love letting that rub off on student's while in the classroom learning environment. I know that each student learns differently and at different paces whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. That's why my pedagogue as a teacher is to teach to the way each individual student learns instead of expecting them to learn to "one" way of teaching.
As a teacher I will always love being in the classroom, but when outside my classroom I enjoy reading, planting, playing with my two huskies (Max and Yeti), fishing, and swimming! You can catch me every summer outside planting sunflowers!
