Congratulations to these students who participated at the FCCLA competition in Natchez. These students will advance to Nationals in Denver, Colorado this summer.

HOSA State Competition (2022 - 2023)
Jakeela Little, Shelby West, and Jordan Knox competed in the Healthcare Issues exam and placed in the top 45, making them eligible to compete at Nationals in the same competition.
Jennifer Renteria, Destyne Turner, and Zainab Al-Rekabi. Competed in Creative Problem Solving and took first place.
Madison Richardson was elected to the position of Vice President for the state of MS HOSA.

Business, Marketing & Finance DECA State Competition February 16 - 17 2023
Jmiliyah Harmon, Kamia Jordan(Both from IHS), and Makyia Black(from Senatobia) Placed 2nd place in the writing event, Business Growth Plan. This is where they wrote a Business growth plan and are judged on their writing of their Business Plan and Presentation in front of a judge at the State competition.
McKayla Pierce and Gavin Piece (both from IHS) Placed 5th in the writing event, Start-up Business Plan. This is also where they wrote a Start-up business plan and are judged on their writing of their Business Plan and Presentation in front of a judge.
Both teams are going to the ICDC DECA National Competition on April 22-26th in Orlando, FL. The second place winners will be competing in the Business Growth Plan competition at the National competition and McKayla and Gavin will be participating in the workshops at the National competition to learn more about being officers, leaders, and competing in DECA. The Competition will be held at the Orange County Convention Center where they will have the opportunity to meet DECA members from all over the world including members from Ontario, Guam, Puerto Rico, and Germany. This will be an exciting learning experience for them all.
