OneCallNow - New Features

Each feature listed below is linked to the user guide or instructions that will provide you with even more information. If you are unable to access any of the below items please let us know so we can promptly correct the issue.

Primary Number

Primary Number allows Group Leaders and Messengers to send phone messages to either all phone numbers listed for a member or just a primary, or main, number. Messages which are more informational in nature may be delivered only to primary numbers while messages which are more critical like early dismissals or closures may be delivered to all phone numbers listed for a person.

Family Profile Web Banner

The Family Profile Web Banner allows parents and staff to securely submit additional phone numbers and email addresses where they’d like to receive One Call Now messages. The web banner can be posted to an individual school’s website or a district’s website. Information Entered through the Family Profile will automatically update the One Call Now calling list. Or, you can choose to approve the names and numbers first.

Listen Here Web Banner

The One Call Now Listen Here Web Banner allows parents to hear your most recent phone message on your school’s website. Parents can go to your website anytime and click on this banner to hear the message. You can create multiple Listen Here banners — one for the entire district, and special ones for subgroups, divided by grade or class, student or staff. You can even configure what text appears on the Listen Here banner.

Advanced Language Options

Advanced Language combines "Multimodal" messaging with "Multilingual" messaging, enabling Group Leaders to send messages to members not only by the method they prefer, such as phone, email and/or SMS text, but also in the language they prefer.

Fast Message Send

Fast Message Send allows you to initiate messages quickly, bypassing most of the auto-attendant prompts. If you use Fast Message Send to bypass the prompts, your messages will not capture a polling touch tone response; messages will be delivered to all Group members and all phone numbers; messages will be scheduled for immediate delivery. When enabled, the auto-attendant will prompt you to record your message after logging in, either by entering your Group ID and PIN or by using Quick Login. After you have recorded your message the auto-attendant will prompt you to press '1' to deliver your message immediately to all members and all phone numbers. The auto-attendant will prompt you to press '9' if you would like to capture a touch-tone response, deliver your message to Subgroups, or to schedule your message.

Quick Login Phone number

This is a phone number that you designate and will be automatically recognized by our system when you call in to our toll-free number to initiate a message. You will not need to enter your Group ID and, if desired, your PIN as well. Use Quick Login only with phones that other people do not use regularly, such as a home phone or cell phone. You may choose to leave it blank and not use Quick Login.

Note: When Quick Login is enabled, the auto-attendant will begin with the One Call Now Leader Menu: "Press 1 to send a message to your Group."

SMS texting with One Call Now

Group members must opt-in to receive text messages. To ask Group members to opt-in you may send your own voice or email message to your Group members instructing them to send the text message "Alert" to 22300, which is the SMS identifier for One Call Now.

You may also choose to send a prerecorded message to your Group members using the Texting Opt-In tool available at One Call Now. A Prerecorded message is delivered to those phone numbers which are identified as being cellular. The message tells your Group members to send Alert as a text message to 22300.

Multi Modal Messaging

Through the One Call Now web interface you can send phone, email and/or SMS text messages to your parents and staff. Phone messages can be Recorded Audio Files, Text-to-Speech Messages or Message Builders. Email messages can be plain or formatted text or can use HTML. Text messages can be sent to cellular phones that have opted-in to receive messages from your Group. While in the Send a Message function, the icon bar at the top of the console will show what options have been selected. When sent together, the different types of messages are reported in separate but related Message Reports.
