Hello! My name is Madison Thrasher, this will be my first full year at East Tate! After graduating High school I then went on to play soccer at Northwest Mississippi Community College. I graduated from Northwest and gave up playing sports to focus heavily on getting my Bachelors Degree. From Northwest I went on to the University of North Alabama, which is where I received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. Now, I will begin in my first full year at East Tate this year, but I began teaching at East Tate January of 2021. I was blessed to get a job at ETE teaching Kindergarten last January and now will be getting to teach 5th grade this year!
A few little things about me:
I do not have any children of my own but I do have two four-legged children. The youngest is Hank, he is a 10 month German-Wire haired pointer and the other is Bogie he is a three year old lab. When I am at home I love doing anything outside, weekends are usually spent at the lake or spending time with my family. I am originally from Columbus,Mississippi where I graduated from New Hope High School. I grew up playing every sport you can think of throughout school and still enjoy watching sports and participating in them also!
I am going into my first full year of teaching and my first year of teaching 5th grade, when I began at East Tate I was in Kindergarten. I am so excited to begin on this new journey of 5th grade ELA! I cannot wait to have your child in my classroom, when they enter my classroom they are a part of a family. I will be there for them long after they leave my classroom!
