Welcome to First Grade! 

Hello! My name is Heather Lentz. I have lived in Tate County my entire life. I attended Strayhorn and Coldwater. As a resident of Tate County, it was very important to me to come back to the district that I grew up in and give back to the students here. I graduated from Mississippi College in May of 2021 with a degree in Elementary Education, as well as endorsements in Early Childhood Education and 7-12 History and English. I currently live in Independence with my family and my dog, Bella.   

Although this will be my first year teaching, I have a passion for education. I also come from a long line of educators! I take my job very seriously, because I know that I will be teaching the children of the future! In my classroom, we will be like a family. We will help and support each other. This year is going to be full of a lot of fun, learning, and activities.
