My name is Gwendolyn Bailey, I am a 6th Grade History Teacher , married with three adult daughters, and four grandchildren. My daughters and grandchildren all live in Atlanta.

As part of my background, I am a native of West Helena, Arkansas, where I graduated High School, attended Phillips College and began volunteering at my daughters' schools. This experience inspired me to enroll into the Elementary Teaching Program at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where I earned my Master's Degree.

Afterward, my husband, my youngest daughter and I moved to Hernando in 2005 where she began 8th grade. In 2007, I began teaching at Tunica Elementary continuing until 2014. While there I taught 4th Grade Science, 5th Grade Social Studies, and 1st Grade- All Subjects. My tenure at East Tate Elementary began as a 1st Grade Teacher in 2014. After three years, I began teaching  5th Grade Social Studies an area which I love. This year will be my first year teaching  6th grade History.
