HI! This is currently my 13th year teaching. I have taught here at East Tate Elementary for all 13 years! I have taught 2nd (5 years) and 3rd (4 years) grade all subjects and 4th (2 years) grade math and science. I live and teach in the community where I have lived my entire life. 

I received my Associate's degree from Northwest Community College and my Bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi. I am currently attending Mississippi College obtaining my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

I have been married to a wonderful man, Philip, for the last four years. We have two little girls, Iris (4 years old) and Violet (2 years old). 

I love teaching math. However, one of my favorite things to do is read! My classroom is even decorated in my favorite series of all time: Harry Potter! I sort my students into houses. They compete to win house points. The winning "house" gets a prize at the end of the year!
