My name is Denise Lynn Anglin and this year will be my 14th year of teaching in Tate County.  I graduated in 1981 at Independence High School - Go Wildcats! After some years, I went back to school and received my Bachelors degree in education at The University of Mississippi - Go Rebels! I am currently taking online classes at Arkansas State University to obtain a Masters Degree in education - Go Red Wolves!

I live in Senatobia and have, it seems like forever. I have a 24 year old daughter who also graduated from Independence High School and lives with me along with her best little friend, Remy, her dog. She and I tag-team all of the chores to keep our household running smoothly. We enjoy hanging out together by shopping, talking, watching tv, going on trips, and just being silly. My hobbies are gardening, cooking, enjoying time outside, and riding motorcycles with friends.

The most important thing that I enjoy doing, however, is teaching. This year I will be teaching science and social studies in fourth grade and can hardly wait! There will be tons of hands on experiences for your child this year and the year will be filled by me questioning them about what, how, and why they think things work in the real world following up with learning the whats, hows and whys of the concept.  Experiments, writing prompts, math calculations, and other strategies will all be part of the learning experience this year.

People ask me why at my age do I still teach. Here's why - Science and social studies are my passions and I LOVE seeing my students when they have that moment in class when the concept being taught finally connects with them.  It also makes me feel good to be able to give back to the community that gave to me.

I am looking soooooooo forward to getting this year going, especially after last year's craziness with Covid. With that being said, thank you for sharing your child with me and may we both grow them mentally, physically, and spiritually as we continue to teach them how to be kind, compassionate, friendly, and just, not only to each other, but with everyone they come into contact.

Welcome to fourth grade and let's get this party started!!!
