My name is Mindy Dunlap. I was born and raised in Tate County and graduated from independence High School in 1997. I attended Northwest MS Community College and Mississippi State University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 2001. 2019-2020 is my 9th year of teaching, After beginning my career with Tate County Schools as a 6th grade teacher at Strayhorn Elementary, I left the classroom to pursue other opportunities. I returned to the classroom in 2012 teaching 7th grade Language Arts at Tunica Middle School in Tunica, MS. In 2013, I had the opportunity to return to Tate County Schools and joined the team at East Tate Elementary. I have taught 3rd grade Language Arts and Social Studies as well as 6th grade Science and Social Studies here at East Tate. I am also one of the sponsors for the East Tate Elementary Jr. Beta Club. I love living in Tate County and working for TCSD. I am also a mom to a TCSD student.
